Surprise Cover Reveal: Heartbreaker by Logan Chance

From Amazon Best Selling Author,
Logan Chance, comes a new, sexy standalone
Releasing Nov. 2, '17
Cover Design by: Perfect Pear Creative Covers

They call me a heartbreaker.

I’ve constructed the exact type of life I want for myself--isolated from feelings, and numb to the world around me.

Running from my own fears.
Pretending I own the world.

I get paid to be an a$$hole. Easiest money I’ve ever made.
Until I get paid to be one to her.

She’s the one person who digs beneath the layers to see the truth hiding there.
Being paid to break her heart may be the hardest job I’ve ever done.

Why’d she have to be so pretty? Why do I need her so bad?
Why can’t I just let her go?

They call me a heartbreaker, but little do they know my heart is the one that lies bleeding.

Review: To Conquer a Scot (Time-Traveler's Highland Love #1) by Tamara Gill

Time-traveling isn’t what Abigail Cross had in mind for her Scottish vacation, nor was a potential marriage to the Laird Aedan Macleod. The fact that the obnoxious, yet hot, and definitely sexy Highlander sees the world very differently than she does, is beside the point.

Aedan Macleod knows what he wants in a wife, and Abigail certainly doesn’t meet his Highland standard, even though he must rein in his desire, because beautiful, opinionated Abigail would never suit as a laird’s wife.

Tempers flare yet passion is undeniable, as Abby navigates her way in seventeenth century Scotland—without toilet paper. When two rival clans threaten the maddening twenty-first century minx who’s captured Laird Aedan’s heart, the mighty Highlander is willing to sacrifice everything to keep Abigail safe.
It's quite an interesting story, but then I've always loved time travel romance. ;) Who doesn't like Scotland? The story starts with a little mystery. It intrigued me right from the beginning. I wanted to read more and find out exactly what is going on. All the characters are very well written and well developed. I quite liked Abigail and also Aedan. Both are stubborn, headstrong, and willing to fight for what they believe in.

Aedan is looking for a bride. Preferably someone who knows her place and will do his bidding quietly, as well as give him the respect he deserves as Laird. It's very important that he marries soon and marry well. His clan's future might depend on this decision. So he is not prepared for his sister to interfere with such well laid out plan. But apparently his sister has plans of her own and soon Aedan will realise that what he wants and what he needs are entirely different things.

Abigail is visiting Scotland for the first time. She just needs are break and also desires to soak in the history. But weather hasn't been too kind so far. But the she suddenly finds herself in a different time. It's so hard for her to believe what is happening but one thing is for sure; she doesn't belong here and she must return to her own time as soon as possible.

Aedan and Abigail never thought that they will fall for each other. But fate has other plans for them and soon they will realise that staying apart may not be possible for them. They are meant to be or so Gwen thinks....

I quite enjoyed this historical romance with time travel. I think the story is quite intriguing, although few chapters before the ending seemed pointless and little boring but then maybe it was because I read the whole book in one sitting and story seemed to be dragging. Maybe I should've taken my time with this book to enjoy it more. Nevertheless, I still loved it and would definitely recommend it to historical romance's fans.

P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley.

Review: To Love a Scandalous Duke by Liana De la Rosa

Driven into exile years earlier, due to family scandal, Declan Sinclair is called home, devastated to discover his brother has been murdered and he’s the new Duke of Darington. When clues point to the man he blames for both his exile and his brother’s death, Declan resolves to ruin the culprit. If only the daughter of the man’s business partner, lovely Lady Alethea Swinton, didn’t tempt his resolve.

Lady Alethea Swinton has cultivated her pristine reputation in the hopes of winning her father’s praise. When her childhood friend returns, Alethea finds she’s willing to court scandal and defy her father to help the handsome Declan uncover the truth behind his brother’s death. Until she realises Declan’s redemption will mean her family’s ruin.
It's an interesting story. When a 'scandalous' returns to London after years everyone starts talking about him. There is sadness and mystery revolving around Declan Sinclair's life. By sending him away his family had tried to protect him from everything that followed the scandal of his father committing suicide. But now that he is back it appears that things are not much different. People still remember everything that happened so many years ago but more than that he is still driven to prove his father's innocence and find out the truth behind his brother's death.

Lady Alethea and her twin are Declan's childhood friend. He wants them to be just that once again. Apparently it won't be that easy. There is too much between their families. They will never be carefree children that they were once upon a time. In addition to this now that they're grown up he realises how attractive he finds Alethea, unfortunately he has no plan to stay in London long enough to do something about that.

Alethea realises that Dec has changed. He is no longer the same person but she still loves him as much as she always has. Only if there was a way for them to be together....

I quite enjoyed reading this book. I loved the story, I think it's perfect combination of romance and mystery. It's well written and characters are all likable. I loved the interaction between Alethea and her twin. They've both become my favourite characters. I think any historical fiction fan will enjoy this story of scandal, mystery, and mayhem.

Review: The Best Man's Proposal by Wynter Daniels

Niki Hamilton had her hopes pinned on moving to Europe with her boyfriend. But then he dumped her. By text message. Just before her sister’s wedding. Left dateless in a flamingo-pink monstrosity of a bridesmaid dress, she decides to drown her sorrows in a glass of tall, dark, and handsome.

Firefighter Grant Powers has been burned by love, but when his best friend’s new sister-in-law falls into his arms—and stays there for one sexy night—he enjoys the experience a little too much.

Then a rental snafu leaves Niki temporarily homeless. So, gentleman and masochist that he is, Grant offers his spare bedroom. Despite the smoldering sexual tension between them, starting anything would be playing with fire.

Now, they just have to survive living together for a few weeks…

Two people who seem so wrong for each other are somehow also perfect together. It's a story about opposites and how they come over their differences simply because they know that their love is worth all that. I loved it! And I think their story is truly amazing. It's a must read for every contemporary romance fan. I enjoyed it a lot, with so many laugh-out-loud moments and swoon-worthy romantic scenes.

Niki wants to get out of under her sister's shadow. What more she wants to work and love in Europe. It has always been her dream and she is willing to endure a few hardships now and then if it means that ultimately she will be moving to London. Also after a few bad experiences she has decided love is not in the cards for her. She just wants to focus on her carrier and achieve what she has always wanted in her life. Until she meets Grant.

Grant is a country man, he is waiting for his house to be sold so that he can move back to take care of his family's farm. What he and Niki has can go no further than friends with benefits. But for some reason he wants more, after a long time he has felt this way about someone, and he just wants to give it a try.

Although, they both have decided that they are wrong for each other and any relationship between them will not work, but the fate has something else in mind....

I love both Niki and Grant. The author has done a great job with these two characters, they're very well written. Niki is exactly the kind of heroine I like most, and well, Grant is definitely something to talk about. Together they are simply perfect and the chemistry between them is off the charts hot. I quite enjoyed reading their story and I hope others do too.

About the Author:

Armenian by heritage, born in Iran, lived in Barcelona, and escaped New York until he found his home in Los Angeles, Ara’s first eleven years were both busy and confusing. The fruit salad of languages would slow down his genetically encoded need to tell stories. Until then, an alter ego would be required… He received an engineering degree from California State University Northridge and earned his MBA from the University of Southern California. Today, he is a technology executive in the entertainment industry. True to the Hollywood life, Ara wrote for a children’s television pilot that could have made him rich (but didn’t) and nearly sold a video game to a major publisher (who closed shop days later). But something was amiss until his wife read him the riot act. “Will you stop talking about wanting to be a writer and just do it?” So with her support (and mandate), and their two boys serving as his muse, he wrote stories. Fascinated by the human species, Ara writes about choices, relationships, and second chances. Always a sucker for a hopeful ending, he writes contemporary romance stories. He is an alumnus of both the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and Southern California Writers’ Conference (where he also serves as a workshop leader). Ara is an active member of the Romance Writers of America and its Los Angeles chapter. Ara is represented by Stacey Donaghy.

My name is Hunter O’Shea and I have a confession to make…I’ve met a girl who consumes me. I know that makes me sound completely whipped, but Mary “Lamb” Mitts has the power to bring me to my knees…it’s just too bad she hates my guts. But that’s okay, because I hate hers, too. The fiery redhead stirs something in me that I can’t explain.
This temporary insanity could be due to the fact my best friend, who used to be a bigger player than me, is getting married. That must be it. I’m caught up in an Oprah moment.
The only solution is to get back in the game and forget she exists. That theory is great—too bad I don’t want anyone else.
I’m so screwed.
